Arts - Music
Instrumental and choral ensembles are offered to Middle and Upper School students with varying levels of experience. Upper School students without prior musical training take Chorus or the Language of Music course. Advanced instrumentalists may audition for the Jazz Ensemble or Chamber Orchestra, which has toured Europe, Asia and Cuba, and recently released its first CD. Upper School Chorus members may participate in a musical theatre production every other year, or in the song and dance revue in alternate years.
All students may participate in the Music Department's special programs, which include collaboration with Seattle-area professional musicians and composers and performances with University of Washington ensembles. Students also benefit from our affiliation with the Seattle Conservatory of Music.
