Introduction
The Northwest School dorm, located just one block from the main school building, houses up to 50 students in a safe, friendly and comfortable environment. The unique and classic building dates from 1915 and was renovated in 1988. Students live two to a room, often with a roommate from a different country. Common areas include lounges where students can relax, watch TV, or play ping pong and foosball; a kitchen; laundry facilities; a computer lab; and a study room.
The greater Northwest School community is an important part of residential life. At the beginning of each school year, we host an Open House to provide all students and staff a chance to become familiar with the dorm if they aren't already. Dorm residents are also encouraged to invite other students to spend time here.
The dormitory is more than a residence for many of the international students attending the Northwest School-it is also a home, where they can receive help and support in their academic and personal growth. Our program supports the values of the entire school: courtesy, common sense, environmental stewardship, mutual support, respect, integrity and balance.
