Admissions

John (Jack) Lloyd. International Admission Coordinator.
B.A. (English Literature), Kenyon College. M.A. (Chinese Language and Literature), University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Jack has a broad base of teaching experience (primary school through university level) including ESL instruction in China and Taiwan, as well as Chinese language instruction at UMass, Amherst. Jack also serves as Northwest's International Student Advisor. At NWS since 2007.

James Kessler. Admissions Assistant.
B.A. (Latin American and Caribbean Studies), University of Washington. James attended Northwest from 6th through 12th grade. She has a wide range of experience working with social justice organizations in the local community, and is currently pursuing certification to teach ESL. James’ interests include environmental and food justice, connecting with community, and making music. She is also fluent in Spanish. At NWS since 2011.

Alexis Coronetz Ortega. Admissions Coordinator.
B.A. (Communications), University of Washington. Alexis is a 1995 graduate of The Northwest School. She previously worked in public information, web development and information management for the City of Seattle, and has experience teaching both adults and children. Her interests include quilting, fitness, hiking, knitting and reading. At NWS since 2011.

Anne Smith. Director of Admission.
B.A. (History), Wittenberg University. Anne taught history in public and independent schools in Maryland, Ohio and New York.She served as the Assistant to the Director of the Middle School at the Laurel School for Girls in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Anne was also the Head of the Middle School at The Harley School in Rochester, New York, and was the Director of Admission at Rowland Hall - St. Mark's School in Salt Lake City, Utah. She enjoys hiking, gardening, needlepoint and knitting, and reading. At NWS since 2003.

Catherine Terry. Registrar.
B.A. (Biology), M.A. (Marine Biology), Occidental College. Additional graduate studies in Fisheries at University of Washington. Catherine's interests include exploring tide pools, ichthyology, gardening, needlework and her family. At NWS since 1988.
