Student Spotlight

Maddie M. '12, Runner Extraordinaire

Sophomore Maddie M. set a new Washington State record in the indoor mile for high school girls this weekend at the University of Washington's Last Chance Meet. Maddie ran the mile in 4:46.77, which in addition to being a new state record, is also the fastest time for the indoor mile this season by any high school girl in the country. This weekend the NWS community will cheer on Maddie from afar as she competes in the prestigious National Scholastic Sports Foundation's Nike Indoor Nationals competition, at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.
