To all new families, welcome to The Northwest School! We hope that this page will be a resource to you as you get to know the school we all love so much.

Q: I want to get more involved in the school community and get to know other parents. How can I do that?
A: Check out the Parent Association, Volunteer at a school event, attend school events, attend a Parent-sponsored Education Forum, or organize a parents or moms' night out (contact your Parent Rep if interested).
Q: I want to know what events are coming up. Where do I get that information?
A: The NWS Online Calendar contains most upcoming events. You will also get a weekly email, and monthly Bulletin (sent electronically) regarding upcoming events.
Q: I want to know what the School's policies are about student conduct.
A: The School Handbook contains the School's policies. If your questions are still not answered, follow-up with your Parent Association Division Co-Chair or Division Director: Glen Sterr, Upper School Director, Tuney Kannapell, Middle School Director, or Ebon Craig Williams, Director of International Programs.
Q: I see the International students as an exciting part of the NWS community. How can I get my child and our family more connected to the International Program, and help support it?
A: There are many opportunities to get connected to the International students, and to help support this program: Host a student in your home on a weekend or over a school holiday. Volunteer at an event at the Residential Program.
Q: Is there a school auction?
A: No. We raise money through our Annual Fund and one fundraising event a year. This year's event, Pizazz! will be held on May 2, 2009. We hope to see you there!
