Environment Program

Careful awareness and stewardship of the immediate environment around us is a vital element in the culture of The Northwest School. Three times each week, all students work in cross-graded teams to clean and care for the main building, a Historic Landmark. They also take care of recycling at the Dining Room and maintain the gardens and the sport court.

The program teaches respect and responsibility for the immediate surroundings and enables younger students to form friendships with those in the Upper School. The Environment Program also affords valuable leadership training for seniors, who instruct and evaluate each team.
