Campbassador Internship

Summer Camp + Ambassador = Campbassador

Campbassadors are high school interns and the official student leaders of the Northwest School, enthusiastically providing outreach to all campers in fun and innovative ways.

Who you are:

  • A rising sophomore, junior, or senior
  • Comfortable with public speaking and leadership
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team
  • Interested in other cultures and languages (proficiency in a language besides English is a plus!)
  • Excited at the opportunity to work with kids
  • Available for training dates and at least one session of camp (but you're welcome to stay for more!):
    • Training June 30 - July 3 (tentative dates)
    • Session 1: July 7 - July 18
    • Session 2: July 21 - August 1
    • Session 3: August 4 - August 15

What you'll do:

  • Serve as a student role model
  • Design and run Community Meetings
  • Provide teaching assistance in camp classes
  • Manage the camp store
  • Assist with camp administration, including organizing and running Showcase (the camp "talent show")

What you'll gain:

Applications received by April 15, 2014 will be given priority. Applications received after this date will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Final candidates will interview with the Summer Camp Director and Campbassador Coordinator.
