Announcing our Winner of NWS Dean for a Day
Earlier this year, the school hosted a contest to replace Kevin Alexander, Dean of Students, with an alum as Dean for a Day.
We’re thrilled to announce our winner—Benjamin Friars-Funkhouser, class of 2010. While he was at NWS, Ben was very involved with Seattle Underground and the radical arts community. Ben has worked for the Vera Project, KEXP and played music with a touring band. Since graduation, Ben has been studying Art History at Reed College in Portland.
Ben will return to NWS to fill Kevin’s shoes as guest Dean on Thursday, May 24th. We will host live updates during his visit on our alumni Facebook page and share photos and highlights in our fall Magazine.
