A culture of giving, a community of gratitude
The word philanthropy, Greek in origin, means "love of humankind". And when you support The Northwest School, you put these values into action by supporting our most precious asset—our students. The Northwest School encourages meaningful giving at a level that feels exceptional for each family. Every gift is appreciated, and every gift counts. Please read our Philanthropy Brochure to learn more about our culture of giving.
Rex Stratton Memorial Fund for Community Engagement

Rex Stratton was a trustee of The Northwest School, serving on the board from 1982 to 1999. He was integral to the success of the school and, starting in 1984, spearheaded several key fundraising and marketing initiatives. Among his many years serving the broader community, he shared that he was most proud of his accomplishments at The Northwest School. We have established the Rex Stratton Memorial Fund for Community Engagement to honor his commitment to volunteerism.

Financial Aid and Endowment
The Northwest School endowment serves as a vital foundation of resources that sustains the School’s excellence and mission—now and for every year to come. An endowment gift is an investment in the future of The Northwest School, an affirmation of the power and timeless value of a Northwest education. These permanent funds ensure that the school will have an enduring source of income, for mission critical programs, in perpetuity. Your support will make the learning experience richer and more rewarding for all students in the House.

The Northwest Experience Fund
The Northwest Experience Fund serves to complement the Raymond Taussig Terry Financial Aid Endowment by providing financial aid costs beyond tuition. The school’s spring fundraising event, Pizazz, will help build this fund and provide an important resource for families who need support beyond tuition-specific financial aid.
