B.S. (Biology), St. Lawrence University; M.Ed., Antioch University. Erica has worn many hats during her time at Northwest. She has taught sixth- and seventh-grade science as well as sixth- and eighth-grade math. She has been an Outdoor Trip leader and, briefly, a Middle School volleyball coach.She loves encouraging students to do science by posing testable questions and guiding them in designing an experiment, analyzing the results and making a claim they can back up with data. Her current extracurricular interest is working with the younger students to help them understand social justice issues and learn skills to be allies.Erica finds balance and well-being with the help of her family, gardening, home renovation, and travel. Her interests also include biking, hiking, telemark and back-country skiing.
