Clarissa Lovegren
Science Faculty & Assistant Coach (Girls Varsity Volleyball)
Clarissa has a BA in Physics with a Math minor (Seattle Pacific University) and a MA in Teaching Math and Science.
She has completed multiple extension courses for engaging and supporting multi-language learners (University of Phoenix), and teaching upper-level physics courses (University of California, Los Angeles). She has extensive experience teaching math and physics, and has also taught at alternative, military, private, and public charter schools. She has served as a course lead, Women in STEM club advisor, and on the CA Public School Teachers advisory group to provide feedback on state-level science exams.
Her teaching philosophy prioritizes active engagement, critical thinking, and teamwork.
