Associate Director of Learning Resources & 9th and 10th Grade Learning Resources Coordinator

Becca has a BA in Art History, French, and Music (Sarah Lawrence College) and an M. Ed in Teaching and Curriculum (University of Washington). She has also completed the Islandwood Graduate Residency Program in Education for Environment and Community.

She has been working in and alongside schools in the Seattle area for over a decade as a classroom teacher, managed environmental education programs, and has also worked in student support and advocacy. She has experience in youth-centered policy work, including initiatives to ensure that LGBTQ+ youth have access to safe and affirming care in the foster care system, youth legal system, and other youth-focused services.

Becca endorses The Northwest School's clear commitment to the arts, sciences and humanities, as well as its focus on issues that support students as whole people. She strongly believe all young people learn best when their passions, life experiences, and identities are valued by their school community.
