Sara Gutmann, PhD
Humanities Teacher and College Writing Coach
Sara completed her PhD in English (University at Buffalo) where she also earned her BA, and obtained her Master's degree in English (University of Minnesota, Duluth).
She brings several years of experience teaching English writing, rhetoric, grammar, and literature at the University at Buffalo to both native and non-native speakers. She also spent a year-and-a-half in China teaching in the English departments of two large universities.
Sara has earned numerous grants and awards and completed five fellowships. Since moving to Seattle, she has prioritized raising her two young children while serving as a parent educator with PEPS (Program for Early Parent Support) and as a preschool teacher.
