Scott Davis
Theater Faculty, Grade Level Coordinator, Instructional Coach (Upper School)
Scott has a BA in Public & International Affairs (Princeton University) and a JD in human rights law and non-profit organizations (University of Washington School of Law). He has received certificates in the Teaching Preparation program and the Program in Theater and Dance. He has a broad range of teaching experience at The Sitka Fine Arts Camp (Alaska), Viautas Magnus University School of Law (Lithuania), The Princeton Movement Theatre Group, and Gadjah Mada University (Indonesia).
Scott has taught as a Princeton in Asia fellow at Gadjah Mada University (Java, Indonesia) and later served as the PiA Program Director for three. While at Princeton in Asia, he co-founded Loon Soup Theater Group, a mime company that toured and taught for McCarter Theater in schools in NJ and beyond.
Among his many accomplishments, he briefly performed in a hip-hop dance company, spent a summer teaching American jurisprudence as a TA at Vitautus Magnus law school (Kaunas, Lithuania), and served as the Artistic Director of the Sitka Fine Arts Camp in Alaska (1997-2007). He also toured and taught across the US and in Germany, Japan, Ecuador, Canada, and Cuba with the Lingo Dance Theater, a Seattle-based contemporary modern dance company.
At Northwest, he has taught mime, mask, improvisation, Lindy Hop, Humanities 9, Humanities 11, and Humanities 12. Scott has also chaired the Theater and Humanities departments. An avid traveler, he has co-led school trips to El Salvador, Greater China, and Cambodia.
