Northwest Students Print Playable Violins

What happens when orchestra meets MakerSpace? A perfect example of our vibrant interdisciplinary curriculum, where science meets art and music to inspire creativity!

It’s part engineering, part artistry, and a whole lot of innovation. This year, NWS students and faculty are blending music and technology in a whole new way, experimenting with 3D-printed instruments, and discovering how tiny design tweaks can change big sounds.

Who’s ready for a future where the orchestra includes instruments built by the musicians themselves?
